Amenities are designed to seamlessly blend in with the manner in which owners will live at The Shephard, as well as their aesthetic sensibilities. The idea was not to go after "the next big thing” in amenities but rather to present residents with well-thought out versions of what they would truly want to use.
lobby & garden
The 24 hour attended lobby with views through to the building’s private garden has a beautiful and serene aesthetic. The most elegant and thoughtful materials were used, including rift cut oak plank flooring inlaid with custom encaustic tiles, blackened steel exterior casement windows and doors, a custom bronze reception desk and mahogany armoire and plaster walls. It boasts a cozy fireplace and the technological and storage capabilities to enable a top level of service.
The private garden is a stunning visual element from the lobby and can be accessed directly through french doors, offering residents a lovely, quiet place to sit.
A beautiful paneled library curated by premier book publisher Assouline sits just off the building’s lush private garden. The library features mahogany millwork with bronze metal detailing and absolute black garniture countertops, encaustic tiles, olive knuckle door hinges and bronze mirror above countertops.
The luxurious resident spa features separate men’s and women’s Steam Rooms, each with it's own changing room and built-in lockers. Each steam room is clad in a different shade of encaustic tile, blue for the men's and a soft peach for the women's with Calcutta marble bench seats, cove and bench lighting and a plunge-style shower.
A Game Room with fun for all ages has a ping-pong table custom made by BDDW furniture and vintage arcade games. The Residents' Club offers that extra space to meet, study or play a hand of poker, and for rainy days there is a Golf Simulator and Screening Room.
Fitness made fun and delightful with a state-of-the-art private, wood paneled gym, an indoor half basketball court, and a bouldering wall for climbing.
